Welcome back to what promises to be another wonderful school year at Hulett! I hope your summer break was full of rest, memorable adventures, and time spent with friends and loved ones. Our staff is thrilled to welcome our students back to campus for a year packed with growth, discovery, and new achievements.

- First Day of School: Tuesday, August 18, 2026
- School Hours: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 AM – 3:55 PM
- Friday Schedule: Please refer to the calendar on our school webpage to check the specific Friday color code (Purple, Blue, or Red).

True education goes far beyond the textbook. We are dedicated to fostering character development, workplace readiness, and vital life skills that build a foundation for success. Our ultimate goal is to offer a well-rounded educational experience that opens doors and gives every student endless options after graduation.
Together, we can make this school year a rewarding and memorable one for all of our students. As we embark on this new academic year, I want to take a moment to highlight some important updates and upcoming events:
1. New Staff & Changing of Duties for 2026-2027:
A) Sara Fleenor = Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor
B) Robert Parker = K-12 Music Teacher
C) Andrea Foster = Special Education Paraprofessional
D) Vic Mahoney = Transportation Coordinator (Started in Spring 2026)
E) Kendra Meidinger = ½ Time Kitchen & ½ time District Food Service Coordinator
F) Twila Pilcher = ½ Time Kitchen & ½ time Librarian
G) Edie Peters = Part-Time Custodian
2. Open House: Open house will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM-6:00 PM. This will be a time for your child to meet their teacher, put their school supplies in their classroom and/or locker.
3. First Day of School: School will commence on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, and we are eager to welcome our students back to the classrooms. Please ensure your child arrives on time, ready to learn and participate.
4. School Schedule and Calendar: A detailed school calendar, including holidays, early dismissal days, and important events, is available on our school website, as well as Parent Square. Please review it to stay informed about key dates. The school calendar can be found at Welcome Back Letter.
5. Communication: We believe that strong communication between school and home is essential for student success. Please make sure your contact information is up to date in our system. We will be communicating via email, our school website, and Parent Square.
6. Parent-Teacher Conferences: We value your partnership in your child’s education. Parent-Teacher Conferences for the fall semester will be scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. We encourage you to actively participate. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or our administration. Spring semester Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2027, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM and Thursday, March 11, 2027, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM.
