Awards, Camps & Other Opportunities

  • The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program: Due November 8, 2017. This award was created to recognize students in middle and high school levels who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Honorees receive awards based on their level of honoree, anywhere from a certificate to $5,000. 
  • The American Legion: Department of Wyoming - this site occasionally has contests and scholarship opportunities.
  • Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange: Apply for a full scholarship to study abroad in Germany. Application deadline is January 15, 2017. 
  • Oxbridge Academic Programs: For students aged 13-18 years old who are interested in studying abroad. Locations include Paris, Montpellier, Cambridge, and St. Andrews.

  • Make Music: UW Summer Music Camp - June 11-17, 2017. 
  • Tackling Grand Engineering Challenges: UW Engineering Summer Program - June 18-24, 2017. 
  • Expert Artists: UW Boston Brass Summer Intensive - June 18-24, 2017. 
  • Mastering Research: Summer Research Apprenticeship Program - June 18-July 28, 2017. 
  • The Artful Craft of Science: TaCos - July 2017
  • Dance Like There's No One Watching: Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival - July 12-22, 2017. 
  • Volunteering and Helping Through Science: UW Health Careers Summer Camp - Summer 2017. 
  • Fire Up in Energy: UW Energy Summer Institute - Summer 2017. 
  • Wyoming High School Healthcare Career Fair: February 22, 2017 at the Casper Parkway Plaza. Students will be able to participate in a variety of sessions concerning different healthcare related careers and skills needed. The day runs from 9 am to 2:30 pm. Registration fee is $8.00/person and includes a buffet lunch. Registration deadline is February 6, 2017. Register here
  • AHEC Healthcare Careers Summer Camp: Laramie, WY. July 9-14, 2017 for current 10th and 11th graders. July 16-21, 2017 for current 8th and 9th graders. Information can be found here
  • 2017 Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp Application: Due January 31, 2017. Open to curent sophomores or those who will be age 16 on June 1, 2016. All expenses covered. 
  • Wyoming Boys State: June 3-9, 2017 in Douglas. 
  • FRS Youth Tour 2017: The Foundation for Rural Service takes 100 students to Washington DC on an all-expenses paid trip. Qualifications can be found here. Applications are due March 17, 2017.
