Hulett School Counselor
Students face obstacles and challenges throughout their lives. As a school counselor, I will advocate for students to equip them with the tools they need to excel and deal with life’s obstacles. I offer a comprehensive counseling program, which includes the domains of personal/social, academic, and career development, as outlined by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). The delivery of counseling services may be carried out in the form of individual sessions, group counseling, classroom guidance, and individual planning. If a student needs extensive counseling, I will refer your family to other reputable agencies and collaborate with stakeholders to help students reach their potential.
As a school counselor, I am bound by the Ethical Standards of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). Everything said will be kept confidential except in the following situations: 1.) The student directs the counselor to tell someone else; 2.) The counselor believes the student is a danger to themselves or others; 3.) The counselor becomes aware of or suspects child abuse or neglect; 4.) The counselor is ordered by a judge to disclose information.

GEAR UP PROGRAM
Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally-funded, statewide grant in Wyoming that provides services to 2,000 7th-12th grade, income-eligible students annually.
GEAR UP aims to increase the number of eligible students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. To accomplish our goal, we provide academic support, college preparation, and family services through GEAR UP offices in each of Wyoming's seven community colleges.
We also provide educator training and work to sponsor school improvement initiatives in collaboration with local Wyoming school districts and the Wyoming Department of Education.
Applications are available from Ms. Kary-Garman.
