SAE Engineering Scholarship
Eric Johnston of Wheatland has established a scholarship at Texas A&M for a Wyoming student. He would love to have a WY student apply for this opportunity that is wanting to major in engineering or in agriculture. Below is the information from Marcy Ullmann in the Texas A&M Foundation office that oversees the scholarship.
Texas A&M uses one application for all scholarships. This on-line application is part of the Apply Texas Application ApplyTexas - Applicant Home Page (goapplytexas.org) or Coalition Application Prepare for & apply to college with the Coalition for College (coalitionforcollegeaccess.
The scholarship is called an Endowed Opportunity Award Scholarship - a four-year award given to an incoming freshman. Applications are reviewed and scored on character, extracurricular involvement both in school and community, leadership and financial need.
Mr. Johnston wants a student from Wyoming. Preferred course of study is the College of Engineering or College of Agriculture & Life Sciences and a member of Corps of Cadets. If we can hit one of these three that is an added bonus, but the Wyoming student is what is most important.
Students must also complete a FAFSA form FAFSA® Application | Federal Student Aid to be considered for an EOA.
The Scholarships & Financial Aid Office Scholarships - Home (tamu.edu) provides some very helpful information.
